Microdermabrasion is the most revolutionary new skin restoration process. By controlling the power of the spray, anything from a gentle buffing of the skin to deeper exfoliation can be achieved. This relatively simple and non-invasive treatment may begin immediately following a consultation. Microdermabrasion leaves you feeling vibrant and healthy, and your skin feeling softer and smoother with a healthy-looking glow. As we age, the automatic process of exfoliation and cell renewal slows down. Sometimes the body needs a little help.
Microdermabrasion is commonly used to treat:
• Fine Lines and Wrinkles
• Sun Damaged Skin
• Acne Prone Skin
• Blackheads and Whiteheads
• Superficial Age Spots
• Oily Skin
• Dry or Patchy Skin
The skin exfoliation process reveals the new, living skin cells that are soft, smooth and receptive to nutrients. It is an ideal treatment for young or old, male or female and for all skin types.
With Microdermabrasion, an extremely fine mist of microscopic aluminium oxide crystal is fired at the skin. This gentle, painless spray exfoliates the skin, and the dead skin cells are vacuumed into a closed filter container and discarded.

FAQ’s about Microdermabrasion
How does it work?
This gentle technique is performed with a jet of fine mineral crystals. These crystals are vacuumed across the skin to remove the dead and damaged skin cells and to stimulate the collagen beneath the surface of the skin, creating a better skin tone.
How often can I receive this treatment?
It depends on the area and type of skin being treated to obtain maximum result. A series of 6 weekly treatments is usually recommended.
What type of skin can benefit from Microdermabrasion?
Ageing skin, Fine lines, Wrinkles, Brown Spots/Pigmentation, Acne scars, Enlarged pores, Blemished Skin, Devitalized Skin, Environmentally Damaged Skin, Chicken Pox Scars, Surgical Scars and Stretch marks.
How does this compare with chemical peels?
Microdermabrasion is a safe and effective alternative to chemical acids. The results are more predictable and can be accomplished in gradual stages with no “down time”.
What are the crystals made of?
Aluminium Oxide (Corundum) which is non allergic to most skins.
How does it compare to Dermabrasion or Cosmetic surgery?
Dermabrasion is often painful and in some cases may result in a negative effect such as unnatural skin texture, a risk of de-pigmentation or scaring. Microdermabrasion requires no anaesthetic for superficial abrasion.
How long does each treatment take?
The procedure usually takes between 30 to 40 minutes.
How soon will I see some improvement?
You should see some positive results with even one single treatment. In many cases the results have been virtually miraculous.
Is the treatment safe?
Yes. The entire treatment is performed in a sterile environment and there are almost no side effects and little trauma to the skin. All tools that contact the treatment area are either disposable or sterilized.
